Martin Venter is, as coined by Emilie Wapnick, a multipotentialite. And he's happier for it.

Martin is an actor (represented by Artists One), a writer, a voice artist, and a 3D generalist based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Some of his most recent work includes playing the street-smart villain, Jaco Kotze, in the popular soap opera Binnelanders, and Renard in the upcoming international feature film, Hammarskjöld. Martin is currently doing voice-over work on the acclaimed Turkish show Çukur (Die Put) as the lead character Yamaç.

Apart from writing the award-winning short film Konneksies with Chanelle de Jager, the pair opened the doors to Typecast Casting Directors where they have been responsible for casting approximately 50 commercials, including two international series' for the Arabic audience. They also founded The Actor's Toolbox - an NPO that focused on the mentorship and careers of aspiring actors and other creatives.

Martin's years of experience in various departments of the entertainment industry sharpened his attention to detail with most things visual. His love for architecture and interior design (and the occasional SIMS game - no judgy!) brought him to develop his skill in Architectural Visualization during the pandemic. He now does 3D modeling and photo-realistic renders for architects and property developers and he recently started applying this skillset to filmmaking and animation.

Martin's belief in proactivity is reflected in his motto of never waiting for the phone to ring. Martin's multi-skilled approach has allowed him to thrive in different roles within the creative industry, and he embraces his multipotentialite nature, finding happiness in pursuing diverse creative endeavors.
